The Evil Machine that is FAUX strikes again!

I love that image...lol.
Here we go again. Seriously i will be immensely pissed if they really go through with this nonsense!

Warner Bros. and 20th Century FOX are going to court over who owns the rights to the property.
his from The Hollywood Reporter...
Warner Bros. is scheduled to release Zack Snyder's big-screen adaptation of the Alan Moore/Dave Gibbons comics series on March 6, but a federal judge in Los Angeles complicated that plan Wednesday when he refused to dismiss a lawsuit filed by 20th Century Fox against Warners over rights to the property.

Judge Gary Allen Fees ruled that Fox has established enough evidence to support its claims that it holds the distribution rights to the film version of the 1980s graphic novel about damaged superheroes.

Asserting what it calls its "long-standing motion picture rights" to "Watchmen," Fox said Monday that it will ask the court to "enjoin the release of the Warner Brothers film and any related 'Watchmen' media that violate our copyright interests in that property."

Warners has high hopes for "Watchmen," a potential franchise film that has a reported $120 million budget. The studio does not want to mess with success -- it released Snyder's previous big-screen effort, "300," in March 2006, and that action movie went on to gross more than $450 million worldwide.

Warners counters that Fox has no rights to the project.

"The court's ruling simply means that the parties will engage in discovery and proceed with the litigation," it said. "The judge did not opine at all on the merits, other than to conclude that Fox satisfied the pleading requirements."

Fox has sued Warners for copyright infringement and interference with its contract rights under a 1991 agreement between Fox and Largo Entertainment producer Larry Gordon.

Under that deal, Fox "quit claimed" its rights in "Watchmen" to Largo, with the understanding that if the production company proceeded with a big-screen version of the comic, then the movie would be distributed by Fox.

In 1994, Gordon negotiated with Fox "a turnaround notice" that established a buyout formula for the studio if he elected to acquire Fox's rights. But according to Fox, Gordon failed to follow the 1994 agreement.

In 2006, Warners negotiated a quit-claim contract with Gordon, under which it claims to have acquired the rights to "Watchmen."

Fox contends that it has retained its rights to the project because Gordon failed to buy out the studio's rights. It further claims that Warners turned a blind eye to Fox's rights. Warners, however, says under the 1994 agreement, Fox gave away all of its rights, including those to distribute.

Judge Fees disagreed, finding that Warners' motion to dismiss ignored several facts, including that the turnaround notice separately dealt with "Watchmen" and that there is nothing in the court record that shows Gordon has an interest in the project.

And of course the fans aren't having any of this crap!

20th Century Fox's legal dispute with Warner Bros. over the rights to Watchmen has sparked a war mentality among fans. Some have already started threatening to boycott X-Men Origins: Wolverine if the litigation is pursued.
This from ScreenRant.com's Vic Holtreman...

I solemnly swear: if Watchmen ends up on the list of great movies that almost made it, I will be leading the charge to make Fox PAY. I will slam every one of the crap movies and TV shows they put out, and use every bit of my blogger-power (it’s about 3/4 as potent as flower-power) to downright brainwash every suggestible reader into boycotting any movie released by 20th Century Fox until Watchmen sees the light of day. (Sorry Wolvy, you’ll be my first victim. Just to let these stuffed-suits know I ain’t playing!) Fox will come to learn the TRUE meaning of the word “backfire,” and I think I speak for a great many Watchmen fans when I say that."

    It needs no Introduction

every fanboy worth his/her salt has already seen this but i will go ahead and post anyways because its what i do:)

The attention to detail is quite remarkable. Night Owl's ship, Spectre's outfit..i mean....its looking to be a great movie...too bad it doesn't come out until next year. My only worry is this doesn't become another "slow motion" movie a la "300"...not that i minded the half naked men at all. I just want some real life crap beating and not some sensationalized steez.

Dark Knight was everything i hoped it would be. Heath Ledger lived up to the hype. I mean.....the joker was effing sick in that movie. And in just 20 days, it has made over $400 million at the box office. You gotta give props.

There should totally be a movie titled "Being Alan Moore"....i mean...who wouldn't want to take a voyage through his inner workings? I know i would!
    Later.

Pictures are one thing but will the movie be up to par? I don't know and for right now..i choose not to dwell on that. Lets focus on the hotness that is the "Minute Men".:D

Jefferey Dean Morgan as The Comedian

    Patrick Wilson as Nite Owl

    Matthew Goode as Ozymandias

    Malin Akerman as Silk Spectre

So there you have it...The Minute Men.

Another follow up.....here is a teaser Trailer for Punisher:War Zone. I dunno....some ppl felt like the one with Thomas Jane wasn't up to par but in my opinion...the only thing sucky bout that movie was John Travolta!! The original with Dolph Lungren still holds a place in my heart tho...always. Peep the vid.
